Kurt Wimmer’s Equilibrium was a fun movie to watch, and introduced us to Gun Fu. His completed Ultraviolet is riding the coat-tails of the popular zombie and vampire flicks, and is scheduled for release in 2006.

Check out the production still of Milla Jovovich in Ultraviolet here. Take a look at her Uzi’s, looks like blades are attached to the handles, so maybe he’s bringing Gun Fu to this flick.

One of the few video games to make a successful (”successful” defined by dollars at the box office) leap into film may get trilogied.

Apparently plans are being hatched for the third Tomb Raider, and even Angelina Jolie has shown interest.

Could production companies please focus on sequels we would actually really like to see, like, say, Indiana Jones 4?

My hypothesis is the execs behind this became interested in the possibility of a third flick now that Elektra and Aeon Flux are continuing the female heroine action movie trend. There’s certainly nothing wrong with a female hero, however; I shudder at the thought of the awful Elektra inspiring anything other than a request for your money back at Blockbuster.
