As the clock ticks to midnight and we welcome in the new year, I want you all to take a moment to smile about one thing in particular. In your evening of celebration and good cheer, please give just a few seconds, to thank the Germans.
That’s right, the Germans.
Why?, you ask.
Because 2006 heralds a change in German tax law. This change will mean that investors in films will no longer be able to write off their losses for failed films.
This means the wealthy Germans who look to create horrible movies just to write off their losses won’t be able to do so anymore.
And, more importantly, this means an end to monies being given to Uwe Boll.
Sleep well. Celebrate safely. Thank the Germans.
Peace out and Happy New Year.

Check out the site for the film production of Frank Miller’s 300 (here).
It’s the story of the 300 Greecian soldiers who stood up against the massive Persian army, inspiring the nation.
Take a look at the concept art, very impressive. I was not a fan of Sin City, but I believe this has the potential to be a significant film.
Peace out.
