After hearing negotiations were underway for a few days now we’ve been notified that Pixar’s board has agreed to a deal to become a part of Disney. Reports vary on the exact amount Disney will be ponying up (from 7.4 to 9.8 billion). Either way, this is necessary and promising for Disney…not only to have the creative minds behind Pixar in the Disney family, but also their CEO, Steve Jobs. Jobs has proven leadership ability and vision.

The upcoming Pixar film Cars is the last movie in there previous distribution agreement.
