Time will tell, for J.J. Abrams, the dude behind the hit TV series’ Lost and Alias has been tagged by Paramount to write and direct the next Star Trek film, which we thought was put on eternal hold.

The case for Vulcan (meaning, it’s a good thing): Abrams has created some of the most popular programs on television.

The case for Romulan (meaning, it’s not a good thing): Television is different from film. Just because you can create a good TV series, doesn’t mean you can direct film.

Some of these issues may fall away, or grow uglier, when we get to see Abrams’ Mission: Impossible 3. Paramount states the 11th Star Trek film will focus on the early days of Kirk and Spock at the academy, and their first space adventure together.
Peace out.

Producer Frank Marshall told Empire Online “We’re writing the script, it’s coming along, and I think it’s on a very positive track.”

“Writing the script”??? I thought this thing was written, rewritten, then re-rewritten, and is now wrote! What the hell?

Peace out.

Either way, JoBlo has got the downlow on the third film in the Saw series.

I found the second film lesser than the first. The second’s twist was also too similar to the original Saw. Leigh Whannel is still the writer.

Peace out.
