Christopher Nolan looks to have another film on his schedule, according to Variety. Apparently he’s in negotiations to direct a movie of the old television series The Prisoner for Universal. Before he gets to the adaptation, he’ll be working on The Dark Knight.

Christopher Nolan to direct “The Prisoner”?
I know a bunch of us were hoping for Guillermo Del Toro for the movie of the Halo video game, but television special effects guy Neill Blomkamp (who?) will be helming the blockbuster film.
Universal (and producer Peter Jackson) is showing a lot of faith in this guy, I gotta believe there’s a reason considering he’s got zilch directing experience. Maybe a great pitch, concept art, or demo. But, hey, Halo can’t be worse than King Kong!

Halo movie director announced.
A trailer for The Grudge 2 is online. It continues the generic Japanese-horror stereotype: pale children with hair in their faces, mouths agape, jumping out at you and hiding in shadows.
As much as I loved The Ring (which contained these elements) I’m getting a bit tired of the same imagery. The boy in The Grudge 2 just looks over-painted, more like Little Boy Blue than a ghostly child. This film looks poor, frankly. The make-up is atrocious, storyline tired, and cinematography bland.
Someone needs to do a cultural examination on why hair in a ghost’s face makes it more frightening, “Like, oh my god, that ghost TOTALLY needs her bangs cut! Grody!”
