Could be.  I’m glad the previous ones turned out to be bunk, ’cause they were lame. This one, though, has that nasty edge I’ve been hoping for from the new Joker and Batman crew. He’s got a serial killer look about him. This is no clown, this is a guy you don’t want to mess with. And that’s how it should be.

I didn’t mind Jack Nicholson as the Joker at all, that’s just a different type of Joker character. The new Batman films needed to go this darker route. This time out the Batman films are just for kids. I think the initial hiring of Chris Nolan as director made that clear. Not because he’s dark, but he’s a sophisticated director.

Anyway, I love the direction the sequel to Batman Begins is heading in.

Check it out.

Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna owned the rights to the Terminator series, and create the turd, uh, third film in the series. But, they have sold the rights to the highly recognized franchise to Halcyon. Along with the rights, the deal included the screenplay for the Terminator 4, and Halcyon plans on producing the 4th movie soon. Rumors are that the plans are for at least 3 more films, that’s called ROI, or “return on investment”. Pay big bucks for a franchise, better milk it for all it’s worth.

That may be difficult without James Cameron behind the camera, or Arnold Schwarzenegger in front of it, but surely new life can be blown into this thing.
