There’s a director for Resident Evil: Extinction (the third Resident Evil film) and it’s…it’s…Russell Mulcahy.

You may not know Russell, but you know his “work”. Remember how awful The Shadow was? Or Highlander II? Or Ricochet? Well the man that brought you those awful movies is ready to pound shit into the mouth of the Resident Evil franchise. I think studios today care more about creating a trilogy, than creating good films.

Milla Jovovich is returning for the third movie.

We’ve been waiting for it and now the Quicktime site has it, a full Silent Hill trailer (here). It certainly shows promise and could be one of the first very cool movies based on a video game.
